Grow
Paul wrote in his letter to the Philippians, “I pray that your love will overflow, and that you will keep on growing in knowledge and understanding… .” He also wrote, in the same letter, “I am certain that God, who began the good work within you, will continue his work until it is finally finished… .” (Philippians 1:9-11 NIV, and Philippians 1:4, NLT)

Our lives are a journey. We move forward in time from our birth, growing, learning, maturing. Our spiritual lives are also a journey, and we are all at different points in the process. No matter where we are there is always a next step forward we can take to grow in knowledge.

Growth also involves developing relationships with other people—we grow in fellowship as we make friends and do life together.

Christ’s Church at Georgetown facilitates growth for people of all ages, both spiritual growth and growth in fellowship with one another.

Here’s what the concept of growing together looks like:

Grow in Knowledge for Adults—
Our worship services on Sunday mornings provide messages that are solidly grounded in Bible teaching. We encourage personal Bible study and our library has study resources available for check-out.

We all know that life can get crazy. To balance things out, we’ve got adult Bible classes on Sundays as well as small group Bible studies that meet on Wednesdays at the church or on other weekdays in various locations. You’ll find others like yourself in these groups—people looking for answers or direction for living, people who are seeking to know God more, and make Him known. We don’t have everything all figured out, but we encourage each other as we work things through in Bible study. We would welcome your company along the way.

Currently, there are approximately 24 Bible study groups meeting, and new groups forming. To begin the process of connecting to a small group, contact Chuck Wiggins (418-0343) or Jim Minniear (437-1563).
