Grow
in Knowledge for Children—Nursery through Preschool
From their first introduction to Christ’s Church as babies until
the time they “graduate” to elementary grade classes, our
infants, toddlers, and preschoolers are surrounded with loving care
and bright spaces designed to encourage and stimulate growing minds
and bodies. Rooms for these very young children are decorated to follow
the Kidstreet theme with each one borrowing from familiar places found
on Midwest main streets across the country. There’s a flower shop
(for the nursery), bakery (for toddlers), zoo (for two-year-olds) and
more.
Preschool ministry leaders use a curriculum
called First Look to teach the children. It’s designed to give preschoolers
a first look at who God is, and help them understand three basic concepts:
God made me.
God loves me.
Jesus wants to be my friend forever.
Wednesday
Activities for Children—Nursery through Preschool
Parents who attend
Bible study on Wednesday nights at the church can rest assured that their
very young children are secure and cared for in their classrooms during
the evening. Older preschool and kindergarten-age children can participate
in Cherub Choir, learning about praising God and developing beginning
music and singing skills.
Grow
in Fellowship for Children— Nursery through Preschool
Toddlers at Christ’s Church enjoy play time together on Sunday mornings
and Wednesday nights in a warm, secure environment. Preschoolers have
play time on Sundays and Wednesdays, too, as well as fun at events like
the Preschool Pajama Party.
